Nikolay Dimitrov (2001, Ruse, Bulgaria) is a classical and jazz pianist, composer and professional music engraver. He started playing the piano at the age of 6 and has been composing since he was 14. His biography includes a significant number of awards from national and international competitions.

Nikolay is a graduate of the National School of Arts “Prof. Veselin Stoyanov” Ruse, Bulgaria. He also has a bachelor’s degree from the Prince Claus Conservatory in Groningen, the Netherlands with teacher Paul Komen, and is currently studying at Codarts, Rotterdam, where he is doing his master’s degree with teacher Nino Gvetadze.

Over the years, Nikolay has participated in many masterclasses with names such as Prof. Lyudmil Angelov, Prof. Atanas Kurtev, Prof. Mikhail Voskresensky, Prof. Milena Mollova, Prof. Bozhidar Noev, Prof. Yuri Bogdanov, Prof. Ilona Timchenko, Prof. Dr. Borislava Taneva, Prof. Jean-Bernard Pommieux, Evgeni Bozhanov.

Nikolay has also played as a soloist with numerous orchestras. Recently, he has concentrated on the field of piano accompaniment and orchestral playing, in addition to his solo concert activity, currently working for the Noord Nederlands Orkest, Noordpool Orkest and sometimes substituting for the Brussels Philharmonic. Previously he was also a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Schleswig Holstein Festival Orchestra.

Currently Nikolay is also a teacher in music school MM in Emmen, the Netherlands.
